We are talking about the men and women at home who, after marrying into the forces, often have to leave their job to follow their partner around the UK (if lucky) or the world (if not so lucky, depending on how you look at it).

It is at this point you often have to resign yourself to either staying at home and looking after the children, or taking whatever jobs are available on the garrison.  This might suit you, but it might not. In some locations there is just not enough jobs to go around and you may be looking for something slightly different.

Which is where we come in. Forces Wife Forces Life aims to make it as easy as possible to get your independence back, whether by working for yourself and setting up your own business, or getting back into the workplace and working for someone else. We have stories from forces partners who have managed to develop a career for themselves that can be transported around with them. There is a resource section where you can find ideas for businesses you could set up yourself, franchises you can buy, people who will support you along the way (like us) and companies who would like you to work for them. We even have a career clinic where you can ask questions and we will do our best to help you out.
